LOOOONNNNGGGGGG TERM !! (YAWN)

This is not to demean anyone or any style of investing. This post is to make ourselves aware that the so-called “long term stories” are not working and there are stats certifying the same. The Average retruns of the TOP 5 mutual funds for 10 years and 5 years are 5.46% and 9.05% respectively. This is from public domain data.  

Adding to the pain, I am sure we will surely have some money parked in funds not falling in this top 5 list. The results are for us to see.  

As per renowned long term investor Mr. Vijay Kedia, “We should Invest like a bull, sit like a bear and watch like an eagle”  

Most of us miss out on “watch like an eagle” bit. They depute this duty to a mutual fund manager they don’t even know personally! On top of this, we pay 1.6% to 1.9% as charges for delivering these handsome returns!!
